Some History about Bridgnorth – it is named after a bridge over the River Severn, it’s home to a funicular railway that links the high and low towns which is now known as the Cliff Railway. It also has the Severn Valley Railway which is a steam train this passes through Bridgnorth southwards towards Kidderminster. Bridgnorth is a busy market town with lots of niche independent shops and local markets that take place weekly.

The Beaman family have been involved in Bridgnorth since the late 1800’s where they opened the butchers shop in the High Street in 1890 and it still operates today within the same family. Some of our apartments are located in Northgate House, this property was taken over by Richard Beaman in 2007, it was believed to have originally been the town doctors house. As the town grew it became the doctor’s surgery, Richard has now tastefully renovated the Doctors patient rooms into luxury self-catering apartments. This Georgian period property is still packed full of original features and charm. Our cosy cottages are located in the old barrel houses of the coaching inn. Which is located at the back of the kings head pub in the stable bar courtyard. The Stable Bar now operates as one of the most popular bars in the town. Offering a selection of trendy cocktails and fine wines and traditional ales. Also offers a fine dining restaurant with an a La Carte menu.
